Pull Yourself Together....

Hello everyone I apologize I have been such a slacker on my blog upkeep!!! I promise that as I adjust to living here and school it will get better.  Today is one of those days I am sitting in my horribly warm and gross dorm room craving the beach and California.  Milwaukee has a lot to offer but without a car my choices are limited and I am starting to feel rather antsy.  


I am so excited for August, my new apartment, new friends, Dan coming to Milwaukee!!!, and to be able to cruise around town and drive to the lake for a run whenever my little heart desires.  In conclusion I am a little homesick and am thinking that I need this sign hanging above my bed...

Goodbye California!

I'm enjoying Milwaukee so far the people are fun and I will say one thing they really know how to enjoy summertime here! But I am definitely missing walking on the beach, brunch, avocados, swimming pools, and the smiles of the people that I love.  


I am studying hard, learning a lot, and so thrilled that I am on the road to becoming a dentist! Wanted to share a few photos from my last week in California and from here on out ladies and gentlemen I will mainly writing about the midwest so get ready for it!!!

Dental School!

As some of you know I was admitted into dental school!!! Everything is happening so fast so I apologize for my absence in the blogosphere.  After a quick trip to Marquette for an interview I got a call saying to move out to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to start school. Classes begin tomorrow so tonight I am studying and getting all settled into my new midwest home.  I will post a few pics and stories this week of my last week in California as well as photos of my new hometown for the next four years.  I am so excited for this new chapter of my life but I am missing Dan, my family, my friends, and my beautiful California.  Looking forward to sharing all of my experiences with you all!

Painting with Chalk

First off I apologize for my lack of blogging this week, last weekend was amazing, but jammed packed and so I have spent much of this week working and studying! Once my big exam is done at the end of this month I promise that I will be sharing many more photos and posts! 

The Chalk Festival at the Mission in Santa Barbara this past weekend was absolutely FABULOUS! There were phenomenal artists, delicious food, and my favorite...live music! I was blown away by how people could create these masterpieces on pavement with chalk in only a matter of days. Their talent and dedication was inspiring.  I enjoyed seeing the community come together to support art and good old family fun!! Does you community have great summer events? If so make time and go to them! I am quite sure you will not regret it!

Start to my Favorite Season!

So this weekend marks the official start of summer! I hope that you all are as excited as I am! When I think of summer I immediately think of swimming, sundresses, watermelon, popsicles, sun-kissed skin, BBQ, cold iced tea, long days, and warm balmy nights.

Hello lovely people I hope that you are all having a fabulous Friday and that you are ready for what I am sure will be a wonderful weekend.  I am down in Orange County this weekend seeing my boyfriend's family and spending time with college girlfriends. I am looking forward to relaxing by the pool, girl talk, delicious meals and stunning ocean views.
