Sunshine, Baseball, and a Good time!

Hello everyone! I have some very exciting news! The Westmont College baseball team is going to playoffs! This is the first time in 15 years that the team will be at playoffs and I am so happy for them.
Saturday I went to both of the games and it was a beautiful sunny day with lots of fun energetic people in the stands cheering for the boys! Wish them luck this coming week! Have a lovely Monday.

Work It Out!

Hello Everyone! I hope that your weekend is off to a fabulous start.  As I write this I am incredibly sore (in a good way) because in the last 24 hours I have done a bootcamp, gone running, and sweat through an intense power yoga class.  I sometimes forget how amazing a great workout out can be for my body and mind! I am looking forward to more running this weekend and hopefully a hike.  Get out there and do something active tomorrow or Sunday I promise you will not regret it!

Farmers Market Flowers

Yesterday on my way to the movies I stopped by the farmers market out on state street.  It was a lovely day and I could not help but notice the breathtaking flowers and delicious looking veggies and fruit at all of the stands.  I wasn't able to pick up any veggies, but wouldn't it be fun to just buy some fresh food items that you have never seen and cook something new?  I snapped a few photos of some of the pretty flowers and I hope that they brighten your day.

Bold Beautiful Brows

Its amazing how something as silly as eyebrows can make such a style beauty statement.  I think that many of us women have fallen victim to over-plucking...after all in those magnified mirrors how can you get two perfectly symmetrical brows?!

Camilla Belle is prime example of perfectly bold brows, they are definitely not pencil thin (so not a good look), but at the same time they are not bushy and un-ruley (also not a good look).  I recently purchased the eye brow pencil below and LOVE it! It stays on in the misty rainy weather, lasts all day long, and enhances my natural brows and shape.  If you aren't into the idea of a brow pencil try Benefit's "Brows a-go-go" which comes with eyeliner, eyebright, tweezers, and brushes...my roommate has this product and loves it!

Looking Back on the Weekend

I hope that you all had a completely relaxing and lovely weekend! Monday is once again upon us, it always seems to come too quickly and I am not always ready for it! Today will be a busy day at work, but looking over some photos from the weekend brings a smile to my face.

Stunning Art

Hello lovely people! This past week I purchased my first painting from a phenomenal artist (and new friend of mine!) Jourdie Ross.  She has recently starting painting full time and I was fortunate enough to get a look inside her studio and I fell in love with the beautiful piece below and had to take it home with me!  I cannot wait until I live in a place where I will be able to paint because I know that this painting will look fabulous on a bright wall...I am thinking deep teal or dark purple.

I hope that you are all so happy that it is Saturday I hope that you have exciting (or relaxing) plans for this weekend!!

Stormy in Santa Barbara

As all of you who live in Southern California know everyone here panics when it starts to storm.  People suddenly seem to forget all driving rules and the roads turn into a chaotic mess. When I was watching the news this morning I noticed that other parts of the US, who usually would still be experiencing winter, will have a more pleasant weather week than CA...oh how the tables have turned!

I am looking forward to a few more rainy days here, I find that when it rains I get a lot of cleaning and studying done and always love falling asleep to the sound of the raindrops.

What do you all do on a rainy day? Have a fabulous Thursday and stay dry Californians.

Spring Training Photos (finally!)

I have been a little behind on blogging due to an insane work schedule and studying for dental school, but today I decided to make some time because I missed the blogging world and remembered that I had yet to share about my spring training trip to Arizona.  Baseball season has now begun but my dad, brother, and I flew to Scottsdale catch a few of the last preseason games.  The weekend was full of delicious "manly' food, baseball, sunshine, and bonding time so I enjoyed every minute of it! Cannot wait to see the San Francisco Giants in action this season, hoping for a trip to the World Series again! Go Giants!!!!

Sunrise-Sunset Watches

The other day I came across an add for La Mer watches.  After going to their website I fell in love with the "Sunrise-Sunset" collection.  Summer is just around the corner and I am looking forward to long afternoons at the beach and relaxing during the warm evenings on my porch with a novel and some iced tea! There are four watches in the collection and my favorites are "sunrise" and "mid-day", the colors are amazing and I know it will look fantastic with workout gear or my swimsuit.  Plus for $38 it's tough to pass up!
