The Pritchett Wedding

One of my girlfriends got married last weekend and the wedding turned out beautifully! It was at a farm called Walnut Grove in Moorpark, California.  There were trees everywhere and everything was so green.  She planned the wedding on her own and it was incredibly apparent that the couple was involved with all of the details.  Their photographer Mark Skovorodko took fabulous pictures, I choose some of my favorites for all of you to see.

{ Kim did a great job choosing the white chairs; they looked great in the Walnut Grove.}

{ How STUNNING did Kim look on her wedding day!? So pretty! }

{ These pink flowers might just be my new favorite.}

{ All of the bouquets and centerpieces were made by one of their close friends Emily, she did an outstanding job.}

{ Beautiful bride and bridesmaids }

{ Such a clever way to hold the rings. }

{ Their first look... how cute are they!? }

{ Hello Mr. and Mrs. Pritchett!! }

{ The cake was made by one of the bridesmaids, she also made lots of delicious little cupcakes so everyone could have a treat! }

{ True Love }

{ Some fun with the Bride and Groom. }

{ Dan and I always have a great time dancing, we just love it! }

{ Congratulations to the beautiful couple! }

Shopping in the City

I absolutely love that I am privileged enough to live close to San Francisco.  It is an amazingly beautiful city with so much to see, excellent food, and fabulous shopping! The last couple times that I have driven up to the city I have been to the science museum, Golden Gate Park, or to a Giants game.  Yesterday my girlfriends and I went up for the afternoon to shop around union square and to go to dinner on Chestnut Street.  We went to all of our favorites…Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Tiffany&Co., Williams-Sonoma…and the list could go on.  We had such a great time trying on clothes and shoes, I especially loved trying on Yves Saint Laurent platform dark grey leather pumps and my girlfriend Emily was having a blast testing out Christian Louboutin patent pumps.  After all of our shopping we ate at Squat and Gobble on Chestnut Street and then finished off the evening with delicious pieces of carrot cake and chocolate cake from Susie Cakes.  All in all a very fabulous day and I cannot wait to go back again!

{ Such a stunning day in Union Square...the sky was so blue!! }

{ The girls taking a little break from all of the shopping. }

{ One of my favorite side streets right off of the main area of Union Square...I have always wanted to eat at this cafe.  }

{ Saw this couch in Anthropologie, my friends and I absolutely loved it! The colors are so vibrant, definitely gave me some ideas of how I would like to furnish my new apartment. }

{ This dog was sitting at Squat and Gobble right next to us eating and drinking out of a glass of water! So cute and well-behaved! }

{ Susie Cakes!! Lots of cake so Yummy! }

{ See how happy the cake made us, smiles all around. }

Working Women’s Wardrobe

Now that I have entered the working world I have decided that I need to build up my professional wardrobe.  Black pants and a blazer are always necessary, but I think that it is nice to have more colorful and fun pieces that are still appropriate for work.  I have a really hard time finding pencil skirts that fit well so I have been looking for dresses that are great for the work day and for going out with my boyfriend or friends after work.  As most of you know the Nordstrom sale is currently happening and I have found some dresses online that I think would work beautifully. Sorry for the awful picture resolution I had a hard time copying them from nordstrom.com.

 {This beautiful vibrant blue dress can be found Here }

{ Love the pattern of this black and white number found Here . It would look amazing paired with some nude patent pumps and a mauve blazer. }

{The colors on this dress are so bright and fun! It can be found Here . Definitely a little loud but if you work in a casual workplace I say go for it! }

 { I love this dark slate colored dress for fall and winter, you can find it Here . The style is very relaxed and also incredibly versatile. }

Weekend Wedding

This past weekend I was in a wedding for two of my good friends from college.  The weather was perfect and we all had an amazing time! When I have pictures I will post them for all of you to see! In the meantime here is a picture of the first wedding I was in as a flower girl.  I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend!

Bike Riding

A few years ago I decided to invest in a fabulous beach cruiser.  It is a shimmery light pink with a white seat, it has gears, and to top it all off a basket... basically it is the perfect two-wheeled vehicle! Unfortunately I haven't made very much time to ride it.  I started cleaning it up the other day and I am going to ride it as soon as I am done.  The weather is too wonderful in california to be stuck inside of my car!

Beach Day

I have always lived by a beach, but it feels like I always get busy and don’t make time to go.  This summer I made it over to Santa Cruz for a day and had a wonderful time.  We were lucky enough to have amazing weather.  I felt like a kid again; we played all sorts of games and had a fabulous time! After our time at the beach we shopped in downtown Santa Cruz and then went to the boardwalk for an outdoor concert.  The day ended perfectly with a double scoop of chocolate and coconut ice cream in a waffle cone from Marianne’s Ice Cream shop. I am going to make sure that I have a few more days at the beach before the summer gets away from me.

( The ride at the boardwalk that I am afraid to ride, but wish I wasn't because the views are phenomenal )

(  Sitting on the warm sand waiting for the concert to start. )

( Evening at the beach...I love the way that the ocean looks at night. )

An Afternoon at the Ballpark

My family is full of dedicated Giants fans.  My dad has been a Giants fan since he was little and I remember going to games at candlestick when I was in preschool.  I had a sparkly orange and black t-shirt that I used to wear to all of the games, now I have upgraded to a jersey. This summer I have been able to go to a few games and I have had a blast at every single one.  I even got on TV during the 7th inning at one of the games! I haven’t however been on the “kiss cam” or the “smile cam”...I will make sure to tell all of you when that finally happens!

Have a Fabulous Weekend

Hello everyone! I hope that you all have had a wonderful and not too exhausting week.  This weekend I will be heading down south to Santa Barbara and then off to Loma Linda to see the dental school.  I am looking forward to the beach, dinner, and maybe even a little shopping on state street before I head out!

 { Searching for starfish, bat stars are my favorite kind! }

{ A snapshot I took while on Anacapa Island, hiking there is unbelievably beautiful. }

Sky-High Heels

The other day I was in Nordstrom and I stumbled upon a pair of six-inch heels.  I own my fair share of very tall stilettos and wedges but nothing quite like these.  I was supposed to be walking back out to my car, but having the shoe department by the exit is far to distracting.  Naturally I stopped and proceeded to try on the sky-high platforms.  They were definitely fun to strut around the shoe department in, but it made me wonder whether a heel this tall is practical...after all Lady Gaga has worn heels that have made her a foot taller! The more that I thought about it we have taken this trend right out of the seventies, my personal favorite style decade. Would you be daring enough to wear heels this high?  I am clumsy so I think that I better stick with shoes that keep me under five foot six.

{ These are the ones I tried on at Nordstrom, love the Leopard...the height was a bit much for me }

{ Saw these online...I must say the combo of the mustard yellow suede with the snake skin is fabulous }

{ These are 10 inch heels on sale here ... they are pretty unbelievable, and they come in many different colors ...so tall! }

{ And the winner is Lady Gaga with the sky-high heels that basically defy gravity }

Monterey for the Day

This last week has been wonderful.  My boyfriend was in town and we had lots of fun plans, so I apologize for my lack of posting! One of the first things that we did was go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium.  I loved seeing all of the fish and other marine animals that they have there. I am continually amazed by the striking colors and patterns of the marine animals.  We also were able to see the otters play and eat.  They are adorable! I really wanted to jump into the tank that they were in and swim with them, but decided against it last minute.  I recommend visiting Monterey to anyone that would like a fantastic day or weekend trip!

 {These fish covered the ceiling in the one of the rooms it was breathtaking }

 {I could not get over the pattern on this eel, the stripes are so distinct! }

 {I think that jellyfish are very intriguing.  The way that they look and move is so interesting. }

{ The view from one of the decks at the Aquarium.  The beaches were so pretty and when I looked into the water I could see starfish. }

 { Seeing all of the colors in this mini reef made me want to go snorkeling! }

{ This little penguin loved the cameras, he was posing for pictures all morning. }

 {Salt water taffy at one of the candy stores in Canary Row in Monterey... so many different kinds! }

 {Standing by Zoltar, I couldn't resist, it reminded me of the movie "Big". }
